The Serbian soprano Milka Stojanović, who has died at 86, sang at the Belgrade Opera from 1959 to 1993.
Her overseas appearances were at Munich, Hamburg, Cologne, Berlin, Rome, Venice, Barcelona, Madrid and Prague, as well as the Metropolitan Opera where she sang in Turandot, Boccanegra, Aida, Boheme and Giaconda.
