Learning a game development engine like Unreal Engine can be intimidating, but thanks to Humble’s new Game Programming C++ & Unreal book bundle deal, you can get up to 20 ebooks covering Unreal Engine 4 and 5 game dev and C++ programming for as little as $20.
The bundle comes in multiple tiers. For just $1, you get four ebooks, including Unreal Engine 4 Game Development Quick Start Guide, Unreal Engine 4 Shaders and Effects Cookbook, Unreal Engine 4 Virtual Reality Projects, and Unreal Engine 4 Scripting with C++ Cookbook 2nd edition. Those four ebooks are a great start to learning Unreal Engine 4, but you can get even more with the higher bundle tiers.
The $15 tier comes with 10 ebooks, including the four items in the $1 tier, and six more books that teach you more C++ uses like programming character AI, pattern design, and more. There’s also C++ Game Development By Example, which includes step-by-step instructions to create 2D and 3D template projects in UE4.
The full $20 tier includes 22 books that cover advanced game dev concepts and tutorials for both UE4 and UE5. You can check the full lineup on the bundle’s Humble store page. All ebooks in the bundle come in both epub and PDF formats, meaning you can read them on your phone, PC, Kindle, or tablet.
The full bundle tallies up to a $757 value for as little as $20, which is an incredible value–however, like other pay-what-you-want Humble Bundle deals, you can always increase your pledge to send more money to the publishers and charity. This bundle benefits the Direct Relief nonprofit, which provides medical care to places affected by emergencies and natural disasters.
Humble’s Game Programming C++ & Unreal Book Bundle is available through September 24.
While you’re snagging the bundle, don’t forget to check out this month’s Humble Choice lineup. Subscribers to the $12/month program can get Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands and seven more Steam games for only $12 throughout September.
